WASH TIME™ - DON’T BE A FOOL!

NEW SOAP PRODUCT CREATED TO HIGHLIGHT 20 SECOND HAND WASHING

A new soap has been created to deliver the message that hand washing for twenty seconds can help halt the spread of Covid-19.

London based entrepreneurs Shed Simove and Adrian Bell have created an innovative cleansing bar that aims to remind people to wash their hands for the correct amount of time during the global pandemic. Wash Time™ is a translucent soap with an embedded 20-second sand timer, so that you can check that you’re washing your hands for the correct duration.

The idea is designed to convey a serious message about hand washing at a time when it could save lives.

Simove says, "This is not an April Fool - it’s actually a fun product to get a serious message out at this time. Social distancing is important, but washing your hands is another vital way to stop the spread of this virus. Only yesterday, we were being told that the virus can last three days on cardboard, so you must wash your hands when you get a delivery too. We thought up the Wash Time™ soap timer to raise awareness about hand washing for the correct amount of time. So, don’t be a fool - wash your hands for 20 seconds and maybe we can help stop the spread of this devastating virus... ’.

In a lighter tone, he continues: “Lather Is the best medicine”, says Simove. “I like to call this my 'Hope Soap’ because it’s what we need at this challenging time. If you’re self isolating, you can use this timer soap to ‘Foam Alone'. My partner in grime, Adrian - and myself - truly believe this idea should receive a government sudsidy…and that it’s the most important safe secs you’ll have right now!”.

Simove and Bell are now seeking a manufacturing partner to help bring this to a global market and plan to share the revenue with front line health workers.
